SUB: Date Extended For Girl Child Scholarship Scheme (GCSS).

As you are aware, we launched the Girl Child Scholarship Scheme (GCSS) last year where in 75 girls - who were academically inclined but came from modest economical background were given a scholarship of Rs 18000/ each to assist them in completing their education. Nominations were accepted through schools only - we received over 4000 nominations from schools.

We are pleased to share that this year we have increased the scholarship numbers to 150. Details / terms & conditions are mentioned in the nomination form sent along with the prospectus. We have received numerous requests for extension since a large number of schools have reopened late and have been busy in admissions etc.
We are happy to extend the last date of GCSS till 31st August 2012. Kindly send your nominations so as to reach us completed in all respects by 31st August. We will be unable to extend the due date any more.
We will declare the list of selected students by Sept 012

Hindi Scholarship Scheme 2012

Applications for Hindi Scholarships are invited from the students of West Bengal, who passed in 2012 the Madhyamik, the Higher Secondary or the Degree (Pass or Honours) Examination or their equivalent examination of the other recognized examining bodies including Voluntary Hindi Organisations and got themselves admitted in the same year in the next higher course with Hindi as one of its subjects. Candidates of B.Ed./B.T. Course, where both the contents and methods of teaching Hindi are studied, will be eligible to apply for the Scholarship. Ph.D. or M.Phil or M.Litt candidates of Hindi Language or Literature are also eligible to apply, if they have registered in such studies in 2012.

The West Bengal School Service Commission is going to hold the 12th RLST (HM), 2012 for the  recruitment of Headmaster/ Headmistress/Librarian in recognized Non‐Govt. aided High /Higher Secondary Schools in West Bengal. Applications are  invited from eligible candidates for the post of Headmaster/ Headmistress under 12th RLST (HM), 2012, through Online Application only.

Get Ready the following documents

1. Your Scanned Photo duly signed under the photo in black ink in .jpg format for upload
2. Date of Birth
3. Date of Joining
4. Marks obtained in different stages of Exam
5. DD no. date issuing bank/branch
6. Session of B.Ed

Qualifiction:

(i) Master’s Degree from a UGC recognized University with at least 45% marks both at the Secondary Level and Higher

Secondary Level, 40% marks in the Honours subject at the Honours Level or 45% marks at the Pass Level for a candidate without having Honours Degree and 40% marks at the Post-Graduate Level, with degree in Bachelor of Teaching/Bachelor of Education/ Post-Graduate Basic Training from any recognized University or any training recognized by the State Government as equivalent to Bachelor of Teaching / Bachelor of Education / Post- Graduate Basic Training from a Teachers’ Training Institution duly recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) in the relevant academic session.

Provided that the above criteria of marks shall not apply to a Headmaster/ Headmistress in approved service in Jr. High/High/Higher Secondary School

(ii) Ten years’ continuous Teaching Experience on the date of advertisement in approved service in a Higher Secondary School/ High School/ Jr. High

School recognized by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education/ West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or equivalent.

Age: Up to 55 years as on 1st January 2012 (i.e. Not born before 01.01.1957)

Medium of Instruction in the Institution: Candidates applying for any School with particular Language or Languages Multilingual) as Medium of Instruction must have that Language or any of those Languages of Medium as First or Second or Third Language at Secondary level of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or from any equivalent Board or at Higher Secondary level of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or from any equivalent Board/ Council or must have succeeded at any subsequent Higher level of Education in that Language paper.

Medium of Answers: Part- I shall be of three parts: - Part-A of 15 marks consisting of Subjective/ Short Essay Type questions to be answered in English only, Part-B of 15 marks consisting of Subjective/ Short Essay Type questions to be answered either in English or in Bengali & Part-C of 15 marks consisting of Subjective/ Short Essay Type questions to be answered in English only. Part- II shall be of 10 marks consisting of 20 Multiple Choice Objective Type questions. 

Candidates applying for other than Bengali Medium Schools shall have to write answers in English only.

Fees for Examination

General /OBC : 750/-              SC/ST/PH : 250/-

Fees amount in the form of Demand Draft of any Nationalized Bank payable to "West Bengal Central School Service Commission", Payable at Kolkata

Candidates are first required to

1.        Keep all the pre requisite documents with him/her with soft copy of one passport size image(20 to 100 kb in size, scanned with atleast 200 dpi setting) duly signed at the bottom and save as .jpeg format (Please follow the link for detailed process).

2.        go to the official website at www.westbengalssc.com

3.        click on the option “Apply Online for the post of Headmaster/Head mistress under 12th RLST”.

4.        After submission of on line Application Form printout will be considered as final and no modifications will be allowed online.

5.        fill in the online Application Form with the utmost care. After completion of all the required fields

6.        see the PREVIEW of your filled-in Application Form.

7.        If any error just click on CLOSE Button on the PREVIEW PAGE and edit the data on the APPLICATION FORM itself.

8.        And if everything is correct then click on the SUBMIT Button and take 2 copies print out of the filled in Application form. Please Attach required document with the form and Demand draft of requisite “Fees for Examination”
